EMCON APPOINTS ROBERT MOON TO BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT POSITION OTTAWA, ONTARIO - September 30, 2003 - Peter Doig, President and CEO of EMCON, today announced the appointment of Robert Moon to EMCON’s senior management team. The appointment is effective immediately. Moon, a 30-year veteran of the high technology sector in Ottawa, has worked as the National Account Manager for the Department of National Defence with Hewlett Packard, Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) and Sun Microsystems – all Fortune Five Hundred companies. Moon planned the international TEMPEST program for DEC where he was responsible for developing new business from conception to a $14 million venture. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Kingston Technology Council, the Canadian Military Communications and Electronics Museum Foundation and AFCEA Kingston. “Bob has a distinguished track record in planning and implementing national account programs”, said Peter Doig. “His history of business development and passion for the secure computing environment, make him ideally suited for this new position at EMCON.
